Lobsang Kunchok set himself on fire in a double protest with Lobsang Kelsang on 26 September 2011.  Both monks were believed to be approximately 18-years old.  As they carried out their protest they shouted “Long live His Holiness the Dalai Lama”. After extinguishing the flames, police took the two young monks into custody.
